Ms. Coulter is quite a "piece of work," Polliesboy, you probably should stay off the net to research her prior opinions on issues. I especially liked {not!} the bit about letting poor people starve, since they are a drag on the economy and do not carry their own weight. You get the idea...

Right now my main focus is the economy.From watching & assessing government actions it is clear that one of two things are two.Either Paulson & company have no clue of what the core problem is or they have no idea of how to fix it.The underlying problem is still the same.Mortgage defaults.Until this issue is addressed satisfactorily the problem will stalemate all other efforts to fix the economy.If they had done what they said they were going to do in the beginning,we would have made some progress.Right now were just running in place while this administration is eagerly awaitng the passing of the torch.These guys are so stressed over the economy they are on the verge of nervous breakdowns.Bush hides & Paulson breaks into a sweat every time someone questions him.Im starting to believe there is no one in Washington that has a clue about the economy.

Polliesboy: I sincerely hope that your Thanksgiving with family was a good one, my virtual friend! We all are truly blessed just living in this wonderful country, notwithstanding the enormous problems that we face collectively & individually. Good that your son came over and showed you by his actions how much he loves you.....Bert {JunkyardDog}

Welcome friends & critics!!! Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. Holidays are always stressful at the same time that they are meaningful to the heart. Utilizing my overly-educated brain, I have empirically proven {albeit with a sample space of one} that turkey contains enzymes that make the consumer sleepy.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz lol JunkyardDog {Bert}

Boy when Paulson ,Bernacke or Bush speaks the Dow goes to hell.Bernacke spoke in Texas earlier & then Paulson just finished.Market went down another 100 points when Paulson spoke.Right now if Bush put a 90 day moratorium on Foreclosure the markets would soar & banks would start lending again because money would start flowing into retail for several months.In the interim the banks could be working out new mortgage plans with borrowers eliminating a lot of pain in the jobs market during the crucial period of the year.Them not doing this tells me they dont want it to get better til the bigs dogs have gathered up lots of cheap property.I dont have fancy college degrees,but common sense still trumps stupidity or willful neglect in this case.There are many things that can be done without large infusions of taxpayer money.Whats wrong with these damn geniuses?Im rather appalled at the blatant guilt or stupidty,whichever being the case.

Good morning, boys & girls. It is looking like the new Cabinet is just about complete, subject to confirmations. It is great that U.N. Ambassador has been upgraded to a cabinet level position again...we need to interface with our new ambassador as she walks the political tightrope, seeking allies for positions that are supported by us. Diplomacy has been almost nonexistent until the past year in the Bush administration, and gunboat diplomacy is seen in the rest of the world as arrogant. It is because of this mentality that we are virtually alone in Iraq and Afghanistan. Meanwhile we are a toothless tiger when Russia invades Georgia; you don't need to be a rocket scientist to determine that Putin need fear no military intervention. This may be our one and only chance to start over....jmo JunkyardDog

Berg is playing on the vulnerability of people who intensely dislike President-elect Barack Obama, and using his inflated accusations to solicit money from the public.
Lawyers are entitled to engage in vigorous advocacy. They are encouraged to extend and revise legal precedents. But they are not entitled to file delusional claims without a scintilla of support, particularly when they then use these delusional claims as a basis to solicit money from the public.

Berg has previously claimed that the U.S. Government blew up the World Trade Center, again without shred of evidence to support his claims.

He is a threat to vulnerable citizens who tend to believe his false claims and give him money on the false assumption that Berg is acting in good faith. By taking small amounts of money from people across the nation he has flown under the radar of professional discipline. No competent attorney could have acted as Berg.

And his hobby is trying to sue Presidents of the USA...

This guy Berg is a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania; former candidate for Governor and U.S. Senate; an attorney with offices in Montgomery County, PA and has an active practice in Philadelphia, PA, who has also filed a RICO lawsuit against Bush and others for the events of 9/11 and plans to re-file shortly] announced today that he was issuing a call for world leaders to arrest and try Bush and Cheney for the global crimes of 9/11/01.

Berg stated in a letter to the nations throughout the world:

"It is time for the nations of the world to come forth and take the leadership because of the failure of the United States Government and the States where crimes were committed on 09/11/01, where no thorough investigation and indictments occurred, to investigate, arrest and prosecute the people responsible for the murders on 9/11/01, specifically including George W. Bush and Richard Cheney."

"Bush and his cronies made 9/11 happen or let it happen. And, if they let it happen, then they made it happen. Either way, they are responsible; and more important, they have completely and unequivocally covered-it-up! Now, it is time for world leaders to take the lesson learned from Iraq and issue a warrant for the arrest of George W. Bush and Richard Cheney; arrest them; take them to a neutral country; try them for the murder of over 2,800 people from more than 80 countries on 9/11/01 and, when found guilty, sentence them appropriately. Jurisdiction would be proper in any of the more than 80 countries whose citizens were murdered on 9/11."

Yeah, just arrest them! Arrest them all...
And then throw Obama out of office...

in 2001 Berg asked Supreme Court Justices Thomas, Scalia and O'Connor to voluntarily disbar themselves for their decision in Bush v. Gore.
He also sued President Bush in 2004 under a RICO lawsuit on behalf of Willie Rodriguez.

Ignore this guy...

Berg is a dangerous racist.Whats he`s advocating is throwing out the will of the majority of the electorate.Seems like the same tactics used by Robert Mugabi.

Egotarian: God bless you, Ed Meredith! Your scholarly post "outs" Berg as the rogue lawyer that he is, and correctly outlines his "below the radar" scam. He is a "vexatious litigator" and a serial abuser of process, as well as being afflicted with narcissistic personality disorder. Thanks for impliedly defending those of us in the legal profession who are NOT like him, who ALWAYS take the moral high ground, and who took seriously our oaths of office {disavowing frivilous or punitive litigation}. Some day I hope to be able to shake your hand in person, my friend. JunkyardDog {Bert}

Hey guys.Keeping a low profile.Just watching the antics unfold & checking for correlation.All politics antics have an orchestrated relation to each other.It just takes a little time to relate one thing to the other in their sequences.Each little thing relates to the overall picture.Right now Im watching to see what the latest smoke screen is disguising.The Blagojevich scandal & the congressional goings on about the big 3.If you notice Bush & Paulson has dropped off the radar screen.This means the press is not keeping close enough tabs on them.That is a big mistake.Something is afoot for sure.

Got a little suggestion.Being the fiancial wizards of wall street got us into this mess,I think they need to bear the brunt of this mess while its being sorted out.A 6 month moratorium on foreclosures is in order to buy some time for people.There should also be a suspension of payments coming due on homes in foreclosure for that time.At the end of this time people that have caught up back payments should be given a new 4% 30yr fixed mortgage if they have a job that can make the payments.Otherwise the banks could then go through regular foreclosure proceeding.A lot of people have been put in this position for several reasons of which a lot was caused by the subprime fiasco.Its not right for the banks to profit yet again from this mess they created.A lot of people have been put out of work because of this situation & caused them to default.Some were a result of predatory lending practices.Some were just plain fraud from appraisers overstating value intentionally.A lot was caused by banks not checking peoples applications fully.Many were stated income without even calling their employers.This was not negligence,it was fraud in lieu of bonuses for meeting loan quotas.What would one expect when CEOs say see how much money you can loan out.

“As a result of the extraordinary growth at Merrill during my tenure as C.E.O., the board saw fit to increase my compensation each year.”“As a result of the extraordinary growth at Merrill during my tenure as C.E.O., the board saw fit to increase my compensation each year.” ... E. Stanley O’Neal, the former chief executive of Merrill Lynch, March 2008
$48 million in 2006 $18.5 million of it in cash...

For Dow Kim, 2006 was a very good year. While his salary at Merrill Lynch was $350,000, his total compensation was 100 times that — $35 million.

The difference between the two amounts was his bonus, a rich reward for the robust earnings made by the traders he oversaw in Merrill’s mortgage business.

Mr. Kim’s colleagues, not only at his level, but far down the ranks, also pocketed large paychecks. In all, Merrill handed out $5 billion to $6 billion in bonuses that year. A 20-something analyst with a base salary of $130,000 collected a bonus of $250,000. And a 30-something trader with a $180,000 salary got $5 million.

But Merrill’s record earnings in 2006 — $7.5 billion — turned out to be a mirage. The company has since lost three times that amount, largely because the mortgage investments that supposedly had powered some of those profits plunged in value.

Unlike the earnings, however, the bonuses have not been reversed.
