I don't for a minute think that a guy has to be embarrased about having hundreds of millions which by the way some of the democrat congress members are worth that. But anyway a guy shouldn't be embarrassed by what he has ammassed wealth wise. I appluad anyone that has done that well, that doesn't make them great people though. What you do with it is what defines who you are. You have shown you lack a respect for bill gates but he has given 80% of his vast fortune away for use in research to cure different diseases. I Think a man has the right to make as much as he can and do with it what he pleases. If choses to give to charities thats awsome if he choses to give some to charities and some to a ferrari dealer thats his right. Am I a bad person because instead of eating a burger and giving the guy on the corner one too I eat a steak. Are you a bad person because instead of cutting your own costs so you can help others you have what you have. And on a side note, I haven't taken a penny from the family oil biz!!! Will I end up with it, probably but who cares i don't. I have made my own way and I'm proud of that. I don't need expensive things, I can have most things now but I chose to live a simpler life.

By the way as much as they do I don't think giving execs millions and millions of dollars a year is good biz or is it right to give a guy millions upon millions to play a sport or to give a person millions to make a movie

The bottom line is america affords thes people to get paid these salaries by buying the product or service. Maybe if America wasn't so materialistic goods and services wouldnt cost so much. The kids around here that are working the rigs are driving around town in 45k trucks and escalades. Do you think thats good sense. But they earned the money they can blow it how they see fit. But on the other hand when they go down to see my friend at the car lot and he makes 10 grand off them thats his right too.

NSL,Its to each his own,but deep in our hearts we know what is right.I dont have to point it out.As far as bill gates.I have the utmost respect for his intelligence in his field.His latest big give away is an effort to impose his will on people about his personal beliefs about smoking.MY self Im for eliminating dangerous carcinogens from the atmosphere also.I quit smoking three months ago & have no intentions of going back to it.However I think they are blowing a lot of smoke up our asses as to how much damage smoking is causing in health issues.No doubt it is not good for you.but I dont really think it is causing as many premature deaths as they would have us believe.I also adire that Gates has moved over & making way for some other people to have their day.Now I will say this about his charitable efforts.they are very commendable.I do think it would be a better idea to spend the money in the country he made it in.Im like every one else.I dont claim to be all knowing or have all the answers or pretent to know whats right for every individual.Each is different.I pass my own opinions,which at times agree with a lot of people,but at other times is very unpopular.We can not solve each persons problems,but should strive not to make them worse.The poor have a eternal problem that is in very few cases is cured.What we should not do is take more from them or their hope.Too much separation of class has a detrimental pyschological effect on the poor trying to grab the brass ring.Now I realize that not all wealthy people are the same,but there exists a faction that would like to beat the poor into a submissive position to further their control over people.These people are a faction that I abhor & feel unworthy of being Americans or even worthy of existing.This is the way I have felt about the last administration & why I have been so vehemently against them.I shall fight that type of tyranny as long as I have a breath in my body.

Pollie it seems to me that we think alike but we dont see what goes on around us the same. You see the republicans as the protector of the rich while I see the Dems as the enablers of the poor. I think the Repubs protect the rich because they know that without them the rest of us may not have jobs. But also to make sure they have contrubutions. But I see the Dems as protecting and enabling the poor so they may RULE them easier and to get their votes. Why would you give poor people handouts and not give them incentive to help themselves? I know that at some point most people need a hand but you have to be able to help yourself at some point. I'm not talking about the elderly either. But It's also insane to think you can punish a wealthy person or business and still expect them to invest in the community. At some point people get fed up with being pushed and they just head to the house and then you have problems.

I personally would feel degraded if I had a politician telling me , "don't worry we know you won't ever amount to anything so we're going to take care of you" but there's some in our society that are ok with that position in life. Look at the street hustlers these days. You have folks that actually have places to live that go to beg on corners because its easy money. Thats pathetic

We have college kids here that sit on the corners with signs asking for beer money. What the hell are they thinking and what does that say about what they will do with their life

What the hell matter does it make what kind of music the man likes.I havent like most music since the end of the Vietnam era,but have been a devout country music lover.I dont consider the hats off movement like marty stewart to be true country.Allan Jackson,Travis Tritt,Sammy Kershaw are a few of the later country stars & music I feel holds the tradition value of country.But how he decides to dress is his business as long as it is not vulgar.You are blowing shit about the SS.They will not embarass the country with gawdiness.They are still hand picked & approved by the FBI.So blow your country hick wit to a hick that`s dumber than this old country hick.The people including a hell of a lot of republicans voted for Obama.Do the math.The Republican strongholds like Florida fell.Even Texas & Arizona gave Obama a big portion of the vote even though he didnt win them.The GOP better be thinking how to get with the program of what really matters.Character assassination is not at the top of the list.Wars are very unpopular with American people.They have found out they were lied to & are pissed about it.The economy is where peoples hearts will always be.Tax cuts dont mean shit if you dont have a job.Tax cuts dont guarrantee more jobs as we have witnessed in the last 8 years.In fact it has been quite the opposite effect.Government Can stimulate new jobs way faster than the private sector.The private sector has a tendency to get complacent & stagnate.When big business get their coffers full & the first sign of a downturn comes they downsize & eat their own fat til times start getting better again.Only then do they start rehiring.They love this policy because it helps them to keep retirement salaries down.People work 15 or 18 yrs & get laid off short of retirement.When company starts hiring again they have lost their time or have relocated to another job.If you think that the big corporations dont figure these things way down the line,you had better think again.If I can figure this so can an accountant or CEO.

Pollies, Today if someone is retired at 62 and up to (x yrs?) like Rayyy the Wal-Mart greeter, are allowed to earn (y Bucks Max?) before they have to forgo $1 for every $3 earned. How come they stop working when they max out?

It must be that they have aquired all the money they need.
