I was watching the destruction created by Ike in Houston & Galveston.I heard a couple guys talking gas prices in Houston.These stations were only a few blocks from the refineries.The price was $3.55 or so before the hurricane.I dont understand this.Gas here that is much further from refineries was about $3.29 to $3.31 before the hurricane.Them damn oil companies in Houston are ripping off their own home town &area.You guys defend these bastards.

The legislation was designed to overturn the "LEDBETTER" decision by the Supreme Court. McCain has been kind of a hard ass on this subject and he will vote in favor of supporting almost any Conservative majority in the Court.
Maybe Palin will make him sweeter on this subject, but I doubt it. He insists that sufficient law exists, on this matter.

Sunny,its not a matter of being a hard ass per se.At least not in my opinion.Its another example of GOP protecting big business.Women can be hired to do mens jobs,thus by them doing the job cheaper it keeps the men in line from asking for more money.Just more subversive bull.Myself.If a women can perform a job as well as the male gender,then she deserves equal pay.Same as race ethics.Its ike abortion issues.What my personal belief is can not be forced upon other people.Thats up to each individual.I still say Sarah Palin is a slap in all womens face at this point.If he had really been interested in women rights he would have named Palin before Hillary was supposedly passed over.Thats another issue,people are taking for granted that Obama passed over Hillary.That may not have been the case.Obama & hillary talked in Washington in private.Hillary may have turned him down.I do know that when Obama was ahead in the primary,Hillary offered him the #2 spot.That seem to me a insult,offering the leader the #2 spot.So people should not read it that he passed over her.She may have been a little haughty.She has been known to have that particular trait on some occassions.But at any rate all of this musing about Hillary & Obama VP spot is pure conjecture & musings.

The problem we have is deep rooted.In thousands of years no one has been able to stop the religous fighting in the mid east.Years ago the terrorism was limited to the mid east & european nations that were either occupying surrounding areas or participating in policing the Arabs.The British & French were the main focus of terrorism as for European nations.Then we had to start interferring with Israelites & Palistinians relations.Stuck our big damn Jew noses in so to speak.Next thing you know old Arafat & hs tribe of camel drivers were mortal enemies with the U.S & Israel.Now why did we interfere.Because theres more Jews in NYC than in Israel.Guess where the United nations is located.You got it NYC on Roosevelt Blvd.That & Nato are a complete waste of tax payer money & constantly keeps us in conflict with the rest of the world.What a damn joke.We have an allegiance to defend fellow Nato nations as they have to defend us.Like we need defending.Someone needs to defend the damn world from us.We`re the biggest damn warring nation of all time.
You can not win the war against terrorism.Its not possible now or ever.The best defense is dont make yourself the focus of terrorists.Thats simple.Stay out of other peoples business.If you must intervene hit hard & take no prisoners.There is no humane act of war ,so get over it & do the damn job with the ferocity it takes.
Then get the hell out.That will achieve the respect you need.
Did we go looking for this by chance.Did we shit in their backyard first or did they come over here first.You guys need to look at Russia realisticly.Poland & Georgia is not the land they would really want.The real prize would be the Ukraine with its rich agricultural area.Russia is going to be the main force in Europe & Asia because of their oil & gas.They are flush with money.They have resources to barter or bargain with.They dont have to ask the middle east for shit.All our crap will do is cause hardship for Europe,This will in turn cause animosity for the U.S in their eyes.After a while they will turn on us.We can not offer them oil or natural gas,because we have wasted ours.You may do well to see us as the rest of the world see us.
